Yes, supplements for pets can be eligible for Trupanion coverage under specific circumstances. Pet supplements that are purchased through your veterinarian are covered if they are used for the treatment of eligible illnesses or injuries. Supplements may also be eligible for coverage if they are specifically prescribed (but may not necessarily be purchased through the veterinary hospital).
Supplements that you give to your pet for preventative or wellness purposes are not eligible for coverage.
