ALAA breeders deserve something special

Raising healthy, happy litters is your passion — supporting you is ours. Trupanion is proud to partner with the ALAA to offer special group pricing to their breeder members.

A special offer just for you

Trupanion is excited to offer this special group pricing plan exclusively to ALAA breeder members. As an ALAA breeder, your membership entitles you to the full Trupanion policy with coverage for new, unexpected injuries and illnesses for just $29.61/month.

Whether your breeding dogs live with you or a guardian family, you can insure them all under this special policy. Your Trupanion policy will pay 90% of all covered costs, and includes a per condition deductible of $500 for the lifetime of the animal. With Trupanion, once the deductible is met for a condition, you'll never have to pay it again for the life of your dog — even for ongoing conditions like allergies or diabetes. This special policy also includes coverage for breeding concerns.

Claims are simple and straightforward. Trupanion can pay veterinary hospitals directly at checkout in seconds — no need to wait for a reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

If you would like to remove a pet, simply reach out to our team at 877.337.0570 or HospitalBenefits@Trupanion.com and we’d be happy to assist you.

When your pet is no longer eligible to remain enrolled under your ALAA coverage account or if you remove a pet from your ALAA account, here's what happens:
  1. Policy cancellation: The pet’s policy under the ALAA group account will be canceled. This step is necessary to remove them from the group account.

  2. Reinstatement outreach: A licensed specialist will contact you (or the guardian, if the policy was in their name) within 24 hours to:
    • Review your coverage options under an individual (paid) policy.
    • Help ensure your coverage transitions seamlessly onto your new individually paid policy, so there’s no lapse or gaps in coverage.
  3. No loss of benefits: If you choose to continue:
    • Your condition eligibility remains the same.
    • Your age-based pricing from when you originally enrolled is preserved.
  4. Email communication: After cancellation:
    • You'll receive a series of emails with instructions on how to continue your coverage.
    • It will also include a phone number you can call right away, if you don’t want to wait for our specialist to contact you.

Please note: The ALAA may remove your pets from the ALAA group account if they do not receive your premium payment. If you have any questions regarding the ALAA’s payment policies, please contact finance@alaa-labradoodles.com.

Claim reimbursements are issued directly to the policyholder using the contact information we have on file:

  • If the policy is set up for a check reimbursement, the check will be mailed to the address on file.
  • If the policy is set up for ACH (direct deposit), the reimbursement will be deposited into the bank account associated with the policy.

Please note: If a breeder would like to receive claim reimbursements directly, the policy must either be in their name, or they must provide their ACH information to be added to the guardian's policy.
